What does this model compare to on their current model range, based on features and image quality? I don't think it has the same as the current Ring Pro?

Plus pay $3/mo for cloud subscription if you need to view motion alert clips.

Doesn't connect to existing chime. That's a bummer

On a quick comparison, this one only have 2.4ghz wifi, whereas the 5yr old pro has 2.4 and 5ghz. Both have advanced motion detection, 1080p, night vision.

It states:

Get real-time notifications sent straight to your phone, compatible Alexa device, or Ring Chime so you'll always know when someone stops by

***My fault. It doesn't work with EXISTING DOORBELL CHIME, but works with Ring's "Chime"

Why is it cheaper than previous generations. Amazon must have cut corners to make it cheaper.

Isn't this cheap for a ring doorbell?

The new one is helluva lot smaller, that alone is probably going to get a lot of folks to switch from the old bricks. IMHO there's no real benefit to 5Ghz connectivity on this.

Just buy an echo since you can connect it to echos to ring as well. This is how it is in my house.

perhaps not - this wired/cheaper version will not ring existing doorbell, nor will it have a battery. Those two "options" may help explain the decrease in price.

This feels like the price these always should have been. Curious to see how it compares to my old ring pro performance wise.

The Field of View on the pro is 160 vs 155 on this one.
Edit: The pro is 160 not 180 degrees

You can???? I've had it and only been using my chime and phone. I have like 4 echos and never used them for it...

Don't know why you are downvoted. After a year the total cost of the doorbell would be $100, at that price you can just get a Eufy Doorbell for the same price and skip the subscription.
