That display, though. Frown I've been watching the Lenovo laptops and considered this deal but a 250 nit non-touch is such a disappointment.

I built and ordered a custom laptop with a better display and Lenovo just increased my estimate from 5 weeks to 13 weeks. So that's gonna get cancelled once I find something acceptable in-stock.

I feel you, 250 nits is the only real let down. Unfortunately as you found out, all the custom builds with 400 nit screens are a waiting game. Sigh.

Don't know anything about Perks at Work. Does your office have to sign up for it, or can I sign up as an individual? Do you get lots of junk email from them ( I read their privacy policy)?
Does anyone know how this laptop is for video conferencing? Need a good webcam and microphone, because that's what I do most of the day.

the graphic is better than previous intel stuff (not the latest one), but not by that much. i have the T14 AMD with the same processor, and you will feel the lag when play card game like hearthstone on a external 21:9 monitor.
anyhow, just be realistic about the graphic performance vs dedicated card.

Precisely - April 23 delivery date. I was floored.

My $770 Lenovo build has an HP equivalent that is in-stock today but it's $900.

Go to https://www.perksatwork.com/ and see if you can sign up. Generally, your employer has to participate in their program in order for you to qualify, but I'm not sure how strict it is. Yes, they email me a lot but I can shut it off once I'm done with my laptop search.

I've found that every laptop has a 720p camera and dual far-field microphones. I don't recall seeing any 1080p internal cameras but I bet someone makes one. You'd likely be best served with a clip-on, external, premium camera no matter which laptop you go with if quality is that important to your work.

You have to sign up using your work email I think. This can be problematic if your work email filters out messages from them as they email you a passcode every time you sign in from an unrecognized browser.

It's fine for conferencing, but the webcam quality is average. Just about every laptop webcam is average though.

What ever you do, don't do hp.com Restocking fee is always assessed after ordering if you change you mind. Also, if Envy is what you have in mind, I used electrical tape full length of the parameters of the bottom cover due to sharp edges...

300 nits is the base acceptable brightness.
