This was a deal in early January and is now back in stock for shipping. Includes the 75" model for $979 and the 82" for $1499. Either come with the Allstate/square trade warranty which brings the total warranty coverage for this unit to 5 years.

I have the 75" 2018 8000 series for $1200 and like it a lot. The TV looks very good for a non-QLED/ OLED TV, the Samsung Tizen OS is quick and responsive, and the screen is massive viewing at ~9 feet away. TBH, it was too big so I moved the TV to another room where I'm sitting ~14 feet away, and it's perfect. I've since bought a 55" Q8 for the smaller room.
The one downside with Samsung TVs (no matter what version) is the stupid ads they force on you, and you can't disable them. I've unconsciously blocked them out and skip over them, so it doesn't bother me that much, but I do think it's annoying that there's bloatware.
For <$1000, this does seem like a very good deal for a 75" high quality LCD. BUT, I'd recommend you to consider getting a TCL R6/R8 or Hisense H8/H9 for around this price though. Those TVs have much better quality (e.g., local dimming, QLED), and comparable to the Samsung Q7 or Q8.

We recently bought Hisense 50" for one of our friends kid, they didn't want to spend more than $350 and they wanted 48-52" and the picture quality is actually great, my only complain is the viewing angle and very annoying contrast change from scene to scene in some inputs or apps, it's weird, I think it's 4k or dolby vision thing? It mostly happens on Disney+.
Anyway, back to me, I've been using the same Sony TV for 12+ yrs, it's one of their better TV's at the time 52" got for $2k at Circuit City and when I go check out TVs at Target, Best Buy, I realize my TV still has amazing colors, and unimaginable viewing angle. It's truly like looking through a window, while most TVs on display are horribly over saturated or just "unreal" picture. I've only seen some LG and maybe Sony TVs, and perhaps some Vizio ones at Costco that looked really good, but those were probably OLED? They were $2500-$3k.
Did you try using whole-home ad blockers to disable ads? Like pihole or pfsense?
