Normally for freezers, fridges and things that have refrigerant can be layed down on their side, but require 24-48 hours for the refrigerant to settle before you can plug them in.

Look up the freezer dimensions, add buffer for packaging, measure your trunk space.

Why even ask a question like this? No one knows which SUV you have, how much clutter you have in it, and which of the 3 freezer sizes you want. Confused

The dimension fits in my SVU. What I am asking is that if I lay it flat on the back, would it damage anything inside?

If you lay it down, you need to wait and have it upright for 24 hours before plugging it in.

mine didn't come with that then and that can be an issue once every few months if you accidentally leave it a little cracked if it's too full and don't notice ☹️ (ice buildup but that's probably for any chest freezer)
