The A7SIII is geared towards video (lol, can't you tell from the S?). Since 4K video is only 8mp per frame the 12mp is more than adequate for it's main purpose.
For video the lower megapixels can be an asset. It allows faster sensor readout (for less rolling stutter) and larger pixels (for in theory better light sensitivity per pixel).

Question: How is your A7C better than the A7III. It's a bit more compact but I thought most of the specs were similar?

I think Sony has 5 more cameras due for 2021. Lets see what they got. A1 looks pretty great, and cant wait to see Canon's answer to that with the R1.
