Based on current reviews this 3D audio thing isn't anything special. Sony hyped it but it didn't deliver what was promised and many headsets can also do this. Would recommend looking at the Arctis, Astro, and HyperX (bought by HP!) equivalents.

Well your right. Those are probably more pricey and not fully wireless. I know the Astros need a adapter on top of the $250/$300 headset because I know one lol.
