R263s have been $199/ea in past sales, otherwise these all match the lowest prices I can recall. Over the course of a few sales I've picked up the R263s, RC263, and R162s to fill out a 5.1 system (with HSU sub). For the price I've been extremely happy.

Yes, the RC263 is worth the extra $50 and is a steal at $150. Make sure it fits as it's a big center.

Yes. Just finished a theater basement remodel. Came from a Jamo setup to the R263/RC263/R162s and the difference in sound is night and day.

They are aesthetically pleasing too. Here's my setup

I bought four R152s and an RC252 for a 5.1 setup last year and love it. At the time, I didn't have the room for an RC263. Now I have more room and am tempted. Would it be a worthwhile upgrade over the RC252?

I didn't like the brightness and lack of bass. I compare them to my JBL 580s and the 580s sound much better as towers. I also have the R162s and the bright sound signature actually works very well for desktop uses - for desktop uses I like the R162s better than my ELAC UB5 (which are very good speakers for the warm signature but not for desktop uses), JBL 530s (I have three pairs of 530s and generally like them a lot), and Wharfedale 11.2s (interesting speakers). If you don't listen at reference levels the thing should last forever unless it's in direct sunlight where UV will eventually eat the driver surrounds. Under abuse in a typical setup the tweeter would be the first thing to go. So you could maybe try to order a spare tweeter if you are that cautious, or setup an ebay watch for spare drivers. Harmon used to be one of the best for selling parts but I think that died out a few years ago.

Some may think this is silly but modern speakers can last 20 years, a couple spare tweeters for a 7 channel setup you are truly happy with is not THAT absurd to consider.

I have the RC263 and it sounds so crisp, nice and loud....also, very wife annoying too. So I would say, YES, it's worth it!! Just make sure you have the room for it.

I don't have the towers but I have the RC263, R162 & (2 pair)R152 Book shelf speakers, with the Yamaha RX-A3000 and everything sounds great! Now, it took me a long time to find the right settings on my amp to find the right sound but after I got the setting right, I'm blown away by the sound.

Do you mean Yamaha RX-A3000? I don't think there is a model RX-3000. What are your settings by the way? I believe it uses the same DAC and MOSFET as the RX-A2000 just with a little more power per channel.

Already have a Yamaha receiver & Klipsch Synergy Sub. Have to buy Front/Center/Rear for a 5.1 setup.

Which one would be better? Is the 63 series upgrade worth $220? Or go with the Klipsch Ref Series from Costco for $899 with Atmos (5.1.2 setup - https://www.costco.com/klipsch-re...65767.html)

R253 (2) + RC252 + R152 = $549 or
R263 (2) + RC263 + R162 = $769
