You can return most items to any local Ace Hardware store within 30 days from the original purchase date (in unused, like-new condition, and in the original packaging). Packing slip/receipt and valid photo ID required.
Not sure what they did to the "Wonder Bar," but it is like spring steel; way too much give when prying..... I don't even carry on the truck anymore. The storage boxes were 3 sizes with two larger for $10 before Christmas and what bugs me the most about Ace Hardware sales, is they charge the sales tax on the list price, not the sale price.... why are they collecting taxes they are not going to turn over to the state for gross sales? After getting cheated, we now use our sales tax number and pay on the purchase price.

They don't do that in my state. For example, that Wonder Bar is $5, and $0.30 sales tax (6% which is our state TPT tax rate).

Same here, order totaled $19.96 + $1.60 ( the 8% tax) for total of $21.56.

Your order sounds right for the final price..... perhaps online orders get it right.
In store, they charge us the sales tax on the retail price, not the sale price. If retail is $40 and sale price is $20, they charge the sales tax on the $40. Been going on for years in the two states we operate from and surprised there is not yet a class action lawsuit for the extra $Millions they have collected as a tax to their pockets.
