IMO one of the best all-around wireless gaming headsets for the price.
Sound is good, durability is great, and the battery life beats most $200-300+ gaming headsets.

Picked up a couple of these on prime day (2019) for 99.99 and loving them.
Unfortunately, with supply issues and demand, its hard to know when these could drop back down to that price again.

I tried the arctis pros and the design changes ruin the experience with their "premium" model.

I also have astro a50s which started having QC issues within 6 months and while they sent a new pair, I don't expect the replacement pair to last more than another 6.

What is the difference (besides aesthetic) between the Legacy and the 2019 Edition?
Answer:The correct SKUs:

Arctis 3 - Black / White - 61503 / 61506
Arctis 3 Console Edition - 61511
Arctis 5 - Black / White - 61504 / 61507
Arctis 7 - Black / White - 61505 / 61508

The previous answer was incomplete. People forget these Q/A sections are visible from all products. see less

2019 edition has thicker ear pads, increased bass, smaller, firmer on-ear controls, and a simplified cable system according to Steel Series.
Look for SKU numbers 61503/ Black, 61506/White or 61511/ Console Ed. to be sure they're 2019 editions.

I was planning to buy 7 for all around wireless headset because of its sound quality and retractable mic. Now I have found out that you have to use the dongle to make it wireless, which is different from what I thought it was like other generic wireless headsets.

most top headsets use dongles for wireless connectivity. you can get the arctis 9 which has bluetooth built in.

solid headset. make sure to turn off Arctis 7 chat in the control panel under audio. hinders the sound of these headsets. make sure to adjust your equalizer after for full potential

What do you mean by this? So you have to disable mic in Audio Control Panel for the Arctis 7 and can only use other input source (i.e my laptop built-in mic, which is also not good)?
