I think its a decent deal for the money. I got this system on the last $590 deal and its a solid PC for the price. Heres my random knowledge dump based on a week of ownership:
(Mine has 16GB after I added one stick) Hooked up to my 4k TV ( 4k resolution but drop in detail/textures as needed): Shadow of the Tomb raider: ~40-50FPS@medium; Time spy score: 5568
Was able to overclock GPU by 120mhz and memory by 112mhz ish with no over voltage. Able to see about 10-15% improvement in minimum frame rate and an increase of about 5% in average frame rate.
The system runs very quiet at least I can't hear it running in my living room with normal background noises. Has two 3.5" bays for internal expanse and two 2.5" for SSDs (comes with one 2.5" SSD bracket). Has I think 3 extra Sata cables and power connectors from what I remember.
GPU (1660 super) is double slot short length with 6-pin power connector.
4-memory slots in total, mine came with single 8GB 2666mhz 1.2 Cl19, was able to find a cheap $28 8GB module on Amazon to upgrade to 16GB.
Upgrade possibilities:
CPU: any 65w LGA1200 CPU (ie. 10700)
Memory: DDR4 DIMMs 2666 or 2933 depending on process (I think)
GPU: Something that can run off of 6-pin power plug (you can find adapters for 6 to 8-pin if you want to gamble) or add SFX PSU
Wifi: This is pretty standard
SSD M.2: NVMe drives PCIe 3.0 x4
SSD/HDD: I think there's at least 4 sata ports on the motherboard
2 additional PCIe slots: 1x and I think 4x (above and below the GPU) are open for network cards or other cards
Pardon any typos or mistakes, tried my best to compile what I could off of memory cheers, hope this helps

I would think it is pretty close.
RAM - $38
1 TB HDD - $45
The 1660 super and ti are not dramatically different. But super is newer and has slightly better fps.
All in all not the exact same value as XPS at $590. But it is really close and is a great deal if considered in isolation. You would have a hard time beating this price at present times.

Does dell hike the price before doing the coupon to make it seem like more off? Having a hard time believing retail is 1100. Are these really THAT expensive, or no?
my husband just asked me to look for a new desktop because his is running so slow. He does a lot of stock stuff mostly and some financial stuff for church. Would this be a good choice?

One thing to note on the previous dell (which I also purchased), while there's extra SATA ports and slots for SSD/HDD's, the power supply has only 3 power connectors and two are placed very close together on one cable IIRC.
A fine deal. When you all get dells, do you run Windows reset to get a clean copy without Dell's extras?
these days not a lot of bloatware, but ya, you can download image off dell site and do a clean install. the serial #/etc is in BIOS afaik.

Looks like the differences are:
NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1660 SUPER™ 6GB GDDR6 -----> NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1660 Ti 6GB GDDR6 (any difference between Super vs TI??)
8 GB ram --> 16 GB ram
256 ssd --> 256 ssd + 1TB sata HD
I would think it is pretty close.
RAM - $38
1 TB HDD - $45
