I have the micro cut version of this, its working like a champ. The issue is if you try to put in more than 5 sheets it starts to really struggle. When they mean 8 sheets they really mean the thinnest paper possible not your usual bank statement paper.

Had one of these Aurora shredders a few years ago that was junk and replaced it with a Royal shredder from Costco and it is a tank.

Agreed and if I may add that my experience was with a 12 sheet that could barely shred anything and died five months after the 30 day return period at Amazon.

Save your money on Aurora, it's cheaper for a reason.

Got this jammed while feeding 5 sheets! It got burnt and auto shut off. Then I tried to get it started again, worked on and off and eventually died on me ;( not recommend!

Got this on the last deal and couldn't be happier for the price. First night did well over 30 barrels (2- 55 Gallon trash bags worth) through without an issue. Oiled every 1 or 2 barrel emptying and pushed it on the max capacity for a test. Over 5 sheets of normal paper it will start to bog down but pulls through so I just did a couple pages at a time of the heavyweight stuff. I probably wouldn't use it for an office but good for home
