I have 805 fico and they decline my Application for Venture credit card and wasted 1 credit check. I won't be applying any Capital one credit card anytime soon.

Very helpful. I did not know Capital One has different tiers of their Quicksilver card. The $200 bonus is only for people who have excellent credit according to their website. So if you have "good" credit between 700-750 you're odds of approval are low.

Pre approved worked for me, used it and had 8 cards i could sign up for, signed up for the quicksilver only for eno. 800+ rating

so question about this card. I saw that I have this quicksilver credit card a few years ago but it was dormant. I know I only opened a capital one 360 checking account when they had that cash offer when opening a 360 account about a decade ago! how time flies but I don't remember opening a quicksilver credit card and the rep can only check the past year and I don't remember ever using this credit card. If I close it how bad of a hit would it be to my 800 something credit score if they say I opened this card back in 2009 when I don't even remember opening it?

I'm wondering if they are pulling a wells fargo now because I don't remember opening a credit card with cap one.

I applied, got rejected (720 score), they sent me the offer via mail for this exact same card WITHOUT the welcome bonus.

I'm generally fine with the cards I have, I just open new accounts to hit the welcome bonus. This card is useless without the 500 spend 200 bonus offer.

Every single card is doing a sub $200 for x amount spent now. Why? B/c fed is increasing interest rates, and that also means HIGHER CREDIT CARD RATES. Be responsible and pay it all off on time all the time and we should be golden.

Interesting. Well I am in the process of trying to open up a credit card every month, to get some cash back, but not sure if I should start closing accounts to be able to qualify again in a year or what. I have heard that I should do this with bank accounts instead, and just pay myself through robinhood or something. Also, getting a business license to get a business account would get me better offers, or so I have heard.
