No outlet by toilet though.. what are my options?
Depending on where the outlet is in your bathroom, you could try it out with an extension cord. We used one with command guides to run it along the bottom of the cabinet up to the plug on the other side of the sink - very discreet and you cant even see the wire. just be sure to get a slim extension cord that allows three prong plugs. may eventually call an electrician but for now, it works great!

My biobidet stopped working after 6 months. Warranty states you have to ship them the gigantic heavy thing on your own dime to get support. It was fun while it worked but I regret ever buying it.

No, I installed one by tapping into a hardly used circuit in the attic and running a line down inside the wall for an old construction box and GFCI outlet.
What would be the cost of this for those of us who aren't electricians?

I got one done for $125. Guy had it easy pulling from light switch on other side of the wall. In and out in 20 minutes.

Pressured Heated Water, Heated Seat, Motorized Seat, Night Light....
That would require a lot of energy...is this thing gas-powered????

I've been wanting one for a while. But...
A coworker recently had a bunch of photos of his house falling apart and being reconstructed.
Turns out his chihuahua managed to turn on/break his bidet in the upstairs bathroom, costing tens of thousands of dollars in damage.
That story makes me hesitate. Lol
Don't get a chihuahua.

I bought this exact one from Costco when it was $180. I almost missed that deal because of an expired credit card and then they sold out so had to call customer service to fix it. Luckily they still sent one. It's been great. Comparable to the Toto seats I used in Japan. It's luxurious to have a warm seat in the winter. You can adjust the temps of both the water and the seat. The nozzle can be repositioned and the water pressure is adjustable, I set ours to 2/5. 5/5 would is plenty powerful for the "pressure aficionados". When my parents come over they think it's weird and don't use it. I like to call them the dirtier generation.

How easy is it to DIY install? Also, is this similar to the toilets in Japan?

this is the Non U model. No heated seat.
Not sure this is accurate, I bought one a year ago and the seat is heated. If you look at the photo of the remote note the thermometer/ toilet seat button. That's how you control the seat temp
