I got one of these last time they were sale for my standing desk to replace an ikea solid wood top that I was using.

Wanted it because it was longer than the ikea top, but note this is also not as deep as the ikea solid wood desktops.

If you have big monitors (that are deep), this may not be deep enough for your liking because the keyboard ends up right against the front of the monitor stand base

I had considered this but the 24" depth was a no go for me unless i wanted to add a keyboard tray.

The only premade solid wood countertop I found that's 30" deep is this: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Sparrow-...5001523805

I just bought the 60"x30" last week along with a 48"x25". The quality is very nice but the wood is unfinished so keep that in mind. I routered the hard 90* edges off with a 1/8th round over bit and finished with polyurethane and put them on monoprice standing desk frames.

Good point but it depends on what you need. I just made a desk with this top and it works well for me. Plenty of space for 3 monitors (two 27" and one 43") plus everything else I need at my desk.

FYI I used something similar for my sit/stand desk and was concerned about the depth of "only" 24-inches when most pre-made are 30-inches. I have my monitors on mounts clamped to the surface which will get them up higher and I also build a keyboard tray for like $30 total that is killer. I used a "stair tread" that was 4-feet (they have them in 3-feet but you'll likely have to order ship-to-store) and was in-stock at both Home Depot and Lowes for about $10. The keyboard slides were purchased from Amazon for about $20. I have a work PC and a personal PC on that desk so the 4' tray is perfect for both keyboards and mice. If you don't have that 3-feet would be more than enough and you could probably even have a store employee cut it down to 2' if you wanted. With that setup I've got TONS of desk space and really never even use it much other then to hold a couple of things like my tumbler, phone holder, pen/pencil holder cup thingy, tape dispenser, etc. Hell, most of that crap I don't even use anyway. Plenty of space for speakers and Alexa under the monitors. I've got more space than I know what to do with with a 6'x2' table top.

I bought a longer version as part of the full husky work bench. Its definitely solid. I paid $285 for the 8' bench for those who are interested.

with that logic, you can buy a laminate desktop easier (linnmon top is super cheap from ikea) but this is solid wood.
