I bought this two months ago.
A great TV for $1000. Specially the speakers are really good, you don't need a sound bar (actually it sounds better than a sound bar)
Amazing value for the money.

In for 1 Super Bowl deal I can't have delivered until after the Super Bowl. Going in one of the guest bathrooms anyway, so doesn't matter

364 day warranty... not worth losing $1k after a year as the warranty for just two years costs an extra $130

I'm not a tech guy, but maybe someone can help me out. I always thought the larger the TV, the more picture quality was important. And for that reason, you should stick with well known manufactures for anything above say 65". Not knocking Hisense, but isn't it hard to hide inferior quality parts on a larger TV?

Basically it's an "okay" budget level TV.

If you're all about the screen size and $1,000.00 finally gets you that sweet 85 inches, then you should go for it.

But this is no Vizio PX series, nor a more cost effective Vizio V-Series; it's not even a Roku 6 Series, so you need to consider all the pros and cons before you pull the trigger.

Yeah I bought the 75" version and it gave me issues. Ethernet didn't stay connected and sound wouldn't work when I first turned on the tv until I messed with the menu.

We've now come to sub $1k 85" class tvs, wow. I get this is a super budget no frills tv, but man has the price plummeted on huge sets in the last year alone.

Hard to believe, right?
I can remember when my dad's co worker bought a Plasma in 2001 (probably around 46" if I had to guess) for 10k! LOL!

I really wish I could see some of these televisions, side by side. I've been looking at 75 inch QLED from TCL and Samsung. I wonder the difference in picture quality at those 1200 dollar ranges and this 1k, 85 inch.

Only negative to me on this tv is off angle viewing quality drops off quickly. Straight on, it is a great looking tv for the price.

Very happy with my 65" version of this. Paid $250 in November.
Issues:
The black uniformity is spotty. Oddly you only see it when sitting at a good 12+ feet away. Up close (I used it as a monitor for a month) you don't see it. Also you only see it in full black or close to full black scenes, and I'm not convinced it's just mine. Would like to know if others see this. Might call hisense for warranty.
The built in interface is usually smooth but does sometimes crash if you are playing 4K videos in apps like Plex. Use a fire tv 4K stick for Plex. Netflix 4K has never crashed though.

Pros:
The colors are fantastic.
The viewing angles are actually quite decent and not a distraction. I am an IPS guy and was expecting much worse off angle color wash.

All in all very happy. Intended to immediately throw it up on the patio but it is currently my living room TV. I would buy another in a heartbeat at the $250 price for even a bit more for the 65". The 85 is more than I want and I admit paying a grand for a shot in the dark is a different thing, but if you want the 85 I think you will be surprised at the picture.
