On the other hand, my own Capital One credit cards seem to get dramatic credit line increases randomly.(without me ever requesting it) Just got a $6700 increase on my Walmart Capital One MasterCard.(again, I never requested it and I never thought about asking for one, since I had no need for more) On the other hand, when I applied for the QuickSilver after 2 years of no other new credit cards, I got denied.
I have a Cap One card with a $5000 limited. Had it 6 years, never late, always pay balance but have rarely used it for a year or so.
This may help me I guess even though my FICO is not bad azz like some

They can keep their measely $300. I'll keep my excellent credit for deals worth it, from the other CC companies.
In the last 24 I believe 4 cards also new auto loan
Update: just downloaded my denial letter from cap 1 the reason for the denial is to many accounts with them

It says up front you will be denied if you already have 5 credit card accounts with Capital One. A flat out limit of 5 cards.
There's other up-front denials like having a charged-off account with Capital One in the last X years that may apply to you. Just read the terms.
good deal
edit: applied and got instant approval
Just some food for thought. Unless you aren't into churning and burning!
