That varies. Personally I like the 4k in 43 inches because you have enough screen space for four separate monitors, each equivalent to a 22 inch 1080p screen. 32 inch is not big enough for that, you'd probably be looking at more like two slightly larger windows, or three at max if you're OK with one being kind of weird.

Question: If I'm coding, have good vision, prioritize ultrasharp text... does this display or the Ultrafine LG 32 IPS for $550 @ Costco make more sense?

Obviously colors are a nice to have but really care about sharp text.

I've seen some reviews where sheer size of this are overwhelming because neck craning. Not sure if anyone who owns this can opine. TIA!

If you prioritize ultra sharp text, you want as high a resolution in as small a monitor as possible. So the 32" 4K will be better than this.

Fair enough. I'd shift that question to experience/productivity. Is the same pixel count across a 32" or 43" better (for folks who have used both)?

That varies. I know this is an odd ball use case. But this makes a great TV for those who dont like smart TVs and have a lot of modern game consoles. For console gaming this has a much lower input lag to most modern TVs.

For TV use you can put up antenna with a stand alone tuner hooked up via HDMI. But now a days most ppl watch tv through their devices so this is a minor point.

I have this monitor (I have the other version with the stand 1 piece stand in the middle only) overall extremely happy with it. Pip mode is cool to get a firestick on the corner of the screen with news in the background. Pbp seems to work but I don't have a use for it.


Overall, great work. Monitor and the 4x 1080p screens is great!

Agreed. I have a 4k 32" monitor, and I run it at 125% scaling. At 100%, things get way too small, but that would be less of an issue at 43". That said, if the percentage of time you spend working in more than 1 or 2 windows is not that high, the size might be overwhelming the rest of the time.

True, all are like triple+ the price though.


Realistically, I don't know who. Needs a 43" gaming monitor, but this isn't a gaming monitor so people shouldn't buy it specifically for that purpose. I use it for work and some light gaming.

The USBC would provide power and video connections to say something like a laptop. So it would make it more convenient to connect and disconnect.

I had a previous 43" LG model that cost about the same and was very highly rated. I never really liked it and was kind of pleased when it tipped over and smashed. I replaced it with a $200 43" TCL and am very content. something was "off" about the LG - my eyes were never happy.

I used both exclusively as monitors - I work from home. 43" sounds like it's too big, but it's not if you have the desk space.

Recently I bought a 43" Element for $150 and that is slightly better than the TCL. Probably the same panel with better software.

Point is that there are some really nice 43" monitors out there for very little money.

I used to have a Dell 43' 4K monitor for similar work plus a bit of visualization. It fell and broken, and I had to switch to a 28' 4K monitor. I miss the 43' monitor so much! It's painful to have to go back to 28'Smilie
