Winix D360 True HEPA 360 sq. ft. 3-Stage Air Purifier

20% off at $119. Home Depot special buy of the day (prices valid 2/6/21). Shipping is free.

These function very well but also have a nice aesthetic compared to many other air purifiers. Includes 5 air filters (most likely 1 HEPA filter and 4 charcoal filters, though listing doesn't specify).

Product Description:

It features a 3-Stage Air Cleaning System that starts with a Fine Mesh Pre-Filter that removes large particles such as hair, pollen and lint. Next, an Activated Carbon Filter absorbs odors and household VOCs. Lastly, a True HEPA Filter which captures 99.97% of unseen particles down to 0.3 mic such as pet dander, smoke, dust and mold spores. The Auto Mode and Smart Sensor combine to deliver Set-and-Forget convenience. The control panel features 4 Fan Speeds for absolute control and a Sleep Mode which dim the lights and sets the fan speed to quiet for an undisturbed sleep.

-True-HEPA filtration captures 99.97% of particles (0.3 microns and larger)
-Activated carbon filter is formulated to capture offensive smoke, cooking and other household odors, the disposable carbon sheet also works as a filter to capture large particles like hair, carpet fibers and dust
-Washable pre-filter extends the life of your filter by capturing pet hair and larger airborne particles
-Air quality visual indicator displays real-time air quality in the room with LED lights
-AHAM verified for 360 sq. ft. rooms in 5 air changes per hour
-Auto-mode utilizes smart sensors to automatically adjusts the fan speed to meet the needs of your environment
-Light sensor - automatically puts unit on quiet fan speed and dims indicator lights once room lights are turned off
-CARB (California Air Resources Board) certified, ENERGY STAR certified and AHAM verified

You can probably find a rebate through your energy provider since it's energy star certified. Hopefully it's a $50 rebate but will obviously depend. I would be interested if I hadn't bought some air purifiers for ~$60-65 before rebate.

Thanks for the reminder. Dominion Energy is $50 and this model qualifies. Have had good experiences with Winix!

I had to look this up on winix website. It uses filter d3 so not the same as if you have the older c535 model.

Also, seems suspect that the site says includes 5 filters. Killer deal if that is so.

Anyone know if it's 5 hepa filters, or just 1 hepa and 4 charcoal filters?

Filter D3 is expensive ($80 from Winix) and hard to find, not in stock anywhere else

any reason to get this instead of C535 (was $105)

You're almost certainly correct. And thank you for bringing this up. I couldn't find the info anywhere. I previously bought the D480 and just checked my old box from the garage and it came with 1 hepa filter and 4 charcoal filters.

I'll update the listing to reflect the likelihood.

Also, fwiw, we have really liked the D480. Bought it for $220 during all the CA fires (no deals then due to market squeeze) so was quite happy to see this deal pop up. It's quiet and looks really nice so we have no problem just leaving it out in plain view.

This ones good. I actually did a YouTube review vs a winix c555 from Costco and a 700 dollar dyson air purifier, everydaychris is my channel if you want to check it out. Overall though it's solid. I like Costco because they sell the filter replacements cheaper and it's usually always on sale. This one looks way cleaner though

IMHO hold out for the 5500... this uses a fabric based carbon filter which is pretty much useless for VOC's. The 5500 uses a pellet based filter, which has way more mass and much more effective for VOC/odors.

The 5500 sometimes drops to the $120-130 range. Filters are pretty reasonable and sold pretty widely compared to these which are hard to find.

Better bang for your buck with the 5500.

I saw a bunch of 5500 marked down to $99 on clearance at the Bonney Lake, WA Home Depot 2 days ago.

Was about to pull trigger but it seems the replacement filters are more expensive and less readily available than others...

That's a good deal, it's a substantially better air purifier than this thing, and lower cost of ownership even if it costed $140 IMHO you get it back over the lifetime.
