I bought the Harbour freight rods. The screw attachments on multiple sections have broken with light use and I have lost rods in the walls. They are still useful, but you get what you pay for. 🤷🏼 ♂️

Fish tape on a reel like this is more for pulling wire through conduit or raceways, so this is a pretty useless length.

The rods are best for fishing through wall cavities or across an attic or drop ceiling.

Well I'm sure you don't have bare wire in the wall. If you do, you have other issues to deal with

Klein fish tape is pretty garbage, but if you just need it occasionally, it will do the job, it just won't last. It's dekline now
I don't want to get it stuck when I am fishing something, what do you recommend?
How are those connecting ones? I will probably need this once or twice, and never again, so I am not sure which one to get? Or just wait until I need it, and buy regular price one at Home Depot? I need as small as possible to fish through flexible aluminum conduit.
One of these

You might want to ask someone who is not on the pipe

Call an electrician to suck a string

Ideal and greenlee are the preferred fish tapes in the electrical trade in AZ. Klein isn't bad either though.

Klein aint bad. Got me through over 2000ft of Cat 6 in my house (lots of wall drops) as well as 2 and 4 wire alarm wiring. Wouldnt recommend it for professional use, but its plenty adequate for home use.

Agreed. I have the connecting fish rods and they are great. I highly recommend picking up the glowing ones though as they definitely help making the job easier. I also recommend picking up the fiberglass fishing wire from harbor freight. It's cheap and gets the job done without getting stuck. I have also used ethernet cable its self as fishing wire but fiberglass fish wire is thinner and more flexible so makes it easier to grab it with a hook and pulling it towards you. I've also used thin metal coat hanger but that's just a band aid solution. Fish rods are much much better than coat hanger and worth it to save your self from frustration.

I can second the guys saying this is trash. It may be decent for straight line passes but usually always gets stuck when doing anything more than a few feet.
