I can't seem to get it to work.
I know it is easy to add memory but for a $1,400 dollar system they should have included at least 16 GB Ram.

More than enough, I have a 3070 and 580 running on 650 watt

The ram most brands like hp, dell, and lenovo put in are trash. It's where they make the money. They want you to pay to upgrade with them. But you are far better off looking for a matched kit with lower CL rating.
This uses hyperx ram
It's total Disrespect to a 3070 card.
