What does breathable even mean in this context?
They advertise it as helping sweat evaporate quicker, which i think is why It's called breathable. No clue what that has to do with lotion, but aside from the odd name is a good product imo

I can't say enough about in-shower lotion. I'm a guy. Moisturizing is a thing I never did. I don't own NIVEA specifically but went with Curel and they have a in-shower lotion. You essentially apply it on your body as you are soaking wet and just towel dry. The NIVEA is similar but you just rinse it off and then towel dry.

It honestly makes putting on lotion less terrible as I always had issue with feeling incredibly sticky afterwards or just flat out forgetting. When it is in the shower and with the rest of my regiment of cleaning myself, I never forget. My skin is stupid soft now and I used to look like a chalkboard on my arms afterwards.

In-shower body lotion sounds like an accident waiting to happen
It actually works quite well in my experience. I do t have Nivea but I've been using Jergens wet skin moisturizer for a year. It's meant to be applied after your shower, but before touching a towel. Theory is that your skin is most receptive to products after a shower since water opens the pores.

I think that the extra 10s after a shower is a good tradeoff for not waiting around for lotion to absorb. Since you towel off after rubbing the lotion into your skin, your skin absorbs what it can and the towel gets the rest. It does get your towel a little stiff after a while, but I'm not sure if that's just the age of the towel. I tend to do a quick rinse after applying the lotion so my towel gets less of the excess. I leave the shower feeling moisturized, but not sticky or ready to become a slug like other lotions.

IMHO, not having that sticky feeling after applying lotion alone makes this worth it to me.

FYI: it's very important that you apply the lotion onto just turned off the shower skin. The Jergens lotion is pretty thick but mixed with the water droplets into less sticky lotion. I imagine Nivea is similar.

There's not actually that much lotion left when I towel off. It's already diluted by the water droplets on my skin and I take a quick rinse to wash off any lotion I missed. After the rinse, there's minimal lotion for the towel to absorb. Usually, my skin has absorbed the rest by then.
