This popular deal is back for a great Schlage system. Regularly $300. FYI, you will need a Z-Wave hub to get the full use out of this. It pairs well with the Ring security system if you have it.

Anyone have experience with the Z wave hub and this lock?

I'm a little wary of hubs after having Hie lights for many years and it being very finicky

Have had 2 Schlage Z-Wave locks on the Alarm.com system for years, including the pictured deadbolt. No issues whatsoever. When I had to change out an older lock for a newer one, just had to unenroll the old one and enroll the new one.

I have 2 which I use with Smartthings and I have it to auto lock after 10 minutes and after midnight just in case I forget to manually lock it. Great locks

These things are great especially If you have a kid. I recently purchased a second one so my daughter can stay at the front door and wait for the bus. All she has to do is run out and close the door. I either lock it myself via wifi or I have it programmed to auto lock 10 minutes after she leaves.

Thanks OP.

Can anyone confirm or deny if this will work with Alexa? Not that up to speed on connected home but we do have Alexa.

Yes it will work with Alexa but you must use a HUB (SMARTHINGS) for them to 'talk' to each other

Z-Wave Lock <-> Z-Wave Hub (Alexa compatilble) <- Internet -> Amazon Cloud (Alexa) <- Internet -> Other Alexa devices (non-Z-Wave/Zigbee)

It will work with Alexa with Internet or locally with the some hubs without Internet.

Thank you. I read this as a Yes, as I have Alexa connected to internet (is there any other way?) and nothing else. As for talking to each other, does the 'each other' refer to multiple locks? If so, I am ok as this will be the only lock in the home. If not, can you please expand this comment? Thanks.

For Alexa to work you must have a Hub. Here is a copy/paste from Schlage https://www.schlage.com/blog/cate...alexa.html
