It was probably a price mistake as the deal for the the same system but with intel processor is going to be $1799 https://deals.dell.com/en-us/mpp/...etail/7fzt

Or Dell saw that people were posting the deal everywhere and decided to raise the price LMAO

Oh man, I just built a few months ago with a 10700k and just need a 3070 card really to finish updating the rig. Currently at a 970rtx from yonderyear. If i was still on my 4790k intel from 5 years ago though, this would be a steal of a deal!
I hope you sold on eBay. 4790k still get $120 there. Which makes me think the last and best AM4 processor will hold it's value for a long time.

lul. Damn they did.

You wanna hear something funny? I talked to a dell csr last night and said I wont be around on Thursday for this deal and if they would extend that to me today and they gave it to me last night for $1,230.00 (before tax) for the same system. So I already purchased it yesterday. I thought $30 over the deal price is fine. Now its cheaper than the deal price. Sick!
I just talked to them today at noon CDT and got the same deal. That $30 extra is for liquid cooling on the processor too.

Is a Dell preferred account required for this price? Is it required to get the early door buster deal ahead of others? Is dell preferred account even worth it?

take an economics course
EVGA is selling 3070's if available for $600 new.

"the value of a used 3070 on the street is $800" you said earlier.

So a used 3070 on the street for $700 is suddenly a deal because they normally go for $800? This is the dumbest shit I have ever read. These aren't farking collectibles. This isn't a rare pokemon. More and more of the same exact thing will continue to be made and sold at a cheaper price. You are overpaying for convenience, not value.. Arguing otherwise is idiotic.

You are getting whatever proprietary garbage Dell throws in here to build at the cheapest possible cost. A last gen CPU that came out in July 2019. Only 16gb of ram that runs under 3000mhz. A random 500gb hard drive and some cheap piece of shit PSU that caps out at 550w. On top of this I'm sure it will encounter throttling issues and poor thermals because these prebuilt crap always do.

This is an awful computer, highway robbery.

My rep told me there wouldn't be cpu liquid cooling but the price was $1230. He said I'd need to pay $150 extra for the 1000w psu and cpu liquid cooling. I went ahead and did the base configuration and see I did get the cpu liquid cooling. Very pleased if that's the case for $30 more and don't have to fight the bots.

So you have to call and not do the chat? What did you upgrade from what was listed here?
