I thought it was a great deal until i found out that most of the parts are proprietary. Correct me if i'm wrong but even the GPU is their own custom GPU which means you can't just replace it with a full size 4070/5070 next time. There's also people complaining of thermal issues. That being said, ts a fantastic price @ $1199 for a 3070 but be aware of the limitations.
Considering the street value of even a used 3070 is north of $800 right now, this should sell out in all of about 6 seconds.
7 replacements? Your persistence is commendable.

The 3070 consumes less power, special gimp dell edition. Probably only has one fan
So is this really a 3070 or really like a 2070 max p level of power?

So I was chatting with a rep for about 30 minutes. Getting to the end and he pushes the extended warranty, stating the first 12 months of included warranty are mail-in only, and it would take 12-15 days to complete. I then copy+pasted from the specs for the system that it has 12 months of in-home service and that he was wrong. Silence for 1 minute, then he disconnected me from chat. I'm fuming!
I don't understand what you guys are saying to the reps to get them to even consider selling you the system early. I tried and the rep said "sorry, this deal starts at 4pm" and I asked if we could put something together and price match the deal and they said "sorry, that's not possible"

I ordered it via chat with liquid cooling and the killer wifi option for $1,377 with the 5% cash back on my Amazon card. I was planning on using it for gaming and video editing but I'll do mining now to try to get more money back.
What exactly did you say to the chat rep? They wouldn't help me, just said the deal starts at 4pm today.

I got a M13 in 2013 and a r15 in 2016 and have had zero issues with both. Awesome machines. Got my kids Alienware Steam machines in 2015, they're still running strong today.

I got an HP laptop, Z1000 I believe... Turns out they overclocked the GPU and it unsoldered itself from the motherboard. I spoke to an HP Rep I worked with at a government agency, he said their consumer products are garbage and he worked a deal to replace it with a compaq. Had a business class GPU... Didn't work well for gaming. I'll never buy HP again.
Good for you, enough people had multiple replacement mainboards on a heavy, middling performing laptop that has poor thermals and costs 3k that I'll spend my 3k on several cheaper and lighter machines that aren't crappily pasted and cooled.

Sounds very rep dependent. I just posted the link to the deal in chat and said I wanted to order that system. He configured it, said he got authorization for a price match and let me upgrade any items I wanted.

If this case is the same as R9 which it looks like it is you can even fit 3090 pending PSU upgrade. My R9 came with 850w PSU and 2080 Super. There is one 3090 Model (EVGA XC3 which fits if you remove front fan and replace it with 15mm one). The 3080 XC3 is same size so will fit as well.

I decided to cancel last night's order and reorder this morning netting me a $68 savings. I also connected with Jeevan Kumar and he did an excellent job. I got the system listed with liquid cooling for $1229 plus $20 for killer wifi.

IF you have a Dell Rewards membership, you should qualify for 3% back in rewards. If you have Chase, check for a 5% cash back offer. This was a sweet deal, honestly. Thanks OP

I was able to get $1299 + tax for liquid cooling and killer wifi. Started out with $1299 with liquid cooling and finally talked them into include wifi as well. They would not remove keyboard or mouse for any discount. So if you can get $1229 with liquid cooling that is great. I kept asking for discount for using chat and if they could give any lower price but this is the best I was able to get. Suppose to be delivered 3/11

Just completed my order. All I did was copy the link into chat window and everything was done through the chat window. The base price was $1229, I upgraded to wifi6 card and water cooler for a total price of $1299 + tax. Used Chase card to get 5% back.

What ship dates are people getting? Just curious given the news about massive shortages of RTX 30 series cards.
