I thought it was a great deal until i found out that most of the parts are proprietary. Correct me if i'm wrong but even the GPU is their own custom GPU which means you can't just replace it with a full size 4070/5070 next time. There's also people complaining of thermal issues. That being said, ts a fantastic price @ $1199 for a 3070 but be aware of the limitations.

Considering the street value of even a used 3070 is north of $800 right now, this should sell out in all of about 6 seconds.

Currently have Dell XPS 8700 (9 years old) i7-4770 with 3060 ti

Not sure if I should sell this 3070 and replace with 3060 ti or sell the 3060 ti and XPS 8700 with 970

Call order modification number I just did and got liquid cooler added on for free
I did this too and it worked, except I didn't get it for free - $50 extra.

For people who are unable to get liquid cooling and want it, place the order, then call the order modification number: 1-800-247-2076

In my case, the support person said he had to cancel the original order and re-order with the modification adding the liquid cooling for $50 extra.

I also tried to add upgrades (WIFI, Liquid Cooling, RAM, & Storage).
Was told:
Quote :
  • "All the upgrade options have been greyed out now, can only help with additional Premium Support(warranty extension) or Software addition if you prefer"
  • "you can sure upgrade its Memory, storage and Wireless card as well once you receive your computer"
  • "Not possible to add liquid cooling after receiving the Desktop"
I also ended up buying the base for $1229

EDIT***
Called the modification team and was able to upgrade RAM/Storage/Wifi/Liquid Cooling

thanks Slickdeals!

I, too, was able to secure 1 for +$30 with an mpp number. Wish I would've checked here about the cooling.

Same, but I don't overclock so liquid cooling really isn't necessary

How hard is it to add liquid cooling system on my own? Is this a deal breaker?
youtube reviews of the computer show a big improvement on thermals for the cpu with the liquid cooler. I am sure you can add it in the future ( just do a little research) or maybe buy one direct from dell when in stock if you call them. I would not let it stop you from buying this system this deal cannot be beat right now.
