I bought one of these last week and got it Friday. Looked brand new. You gotta uninstall Norton using the remove tool from the Norton website (don't just use Add/Remove programs). Before I did that, the battery lasted 1.5 hours, now it's 5+ hours. Very happy with it so far. I added an extra 8gb stick of ram and might add a second nvme drive.

Got a new one for $699 during the December deal. Now getting a boot error "Checking Media Presence". Tried every fix - likely boot malfunction with included HDD. I am returning this soon.

These laptops were released late Nov 2020, as in 2-3 months ago. And they're already being refurbished and resold ? Do you really need more of a red flag ? Purchase with extreme caution and look to get an extended warranty from any company willing....

Preferably, avoid it altogether.

edit : vipoutlet is offering a 90 day warranty, that is longer than these devices have been available for sale 🤯
They're Wal-Mart returns. I've received stuff from them in perfect condition before.

I picked this up for $649 brand new during black friday from walmart. $585 for a RTX 2060 is unbelievably great.

I purchased one of these from Walmart at 699. I love it. Its not perfect but it's got me back into PC gaming. As for the price, I'm not sure if the refurbished is worth the discount from 699 but the laptop is worth either price.

Lenovo Legion Y540 at similar price recently is a better deal imo

Gateway offers no software support (BIOS update)

Ordered 3 different laptops from VIPOutlet. Two EVOO and one HP. Both EVOOs are still running fine. The HP laptop was running 100C on Final Fantasy XIV. Returning the laptop was easy and painless.

Disagree. Check the reviews online.

Complaints are a noisy fan(expected at this price) and meager storage and RAM. Also expected.

Most returns are from people who expect specs from this laptop normally found in laptops costing $1500. I bought one confident I will enjoy it.

About $4/Daily. Not worth it IMO considering how hot these things probably get it. Who knows how long they'd last.
Are you kidding me? Thats $120/mo. If this lasts 6 months it paid for itself! I dont pay for electrical.

But Im not about to dedicate this for mining tbough.
