How is this not blowing up? Great deal for 8C/16T. Just bought one to pair with a decent looking B460 board. This plus an upcoming 3060 or even currently available(ish) 3070 would be a great pairing for high refresh 1080P / 1440P.

This is a steal guys... this is on par with the "unlocked" 10600k for gaming but has more cores and threads for multitasking and is the SAME price currently ($229.99). I was looking into getting a Ryzen 5600x but this price point and availability is kicking that idea out the window. How is this not the better value prop? I'm genuinely wondering?

Yes I was wondering if I'm missing something? I also am going to hunt a 3060Ti to complete my system.

very good deal, but I want to get 11th gen desktop cpu, for av1 hardware acceleration (eventually all media will be streamed in av1) , and to get a motherboard that is Thunderbolt 4 (USB4 Compliant)

I would say most people interested in this cpu would want the K/unlocked version, not the F. Nonetheless, it's a good deal.

If you're gonna wait for a minor to no improvement in 11th gen you might as well wait a few more months for an actual limprovement in performance when Alder lake comes and it will likely come with better chipset features as well and a smaller node so better power/heat. 11th gen will go down as prolly an even worse generation to purchase than the 7700k. I'm saying that as an i7 7700k owner so i know a bad buy haha.
