Noob here. How would I know if this fits in my laptop? Like I know I have an m.2 slot...is there any chance that with the copper heat sink that it might be too big? Is there a way I can tell?

This activated my alert for "Full Body Copper Heat Spreader". Down voted, not at all what I was looking for.

open it up, measure the laptop see if room accommodates the nvme and heat sink.

99% it won't unless just the base of your laptop is about 2" thick, (heat sink height is 1.18" plus mainboard and case/frame on both sides of mainboard) this is designed more for desktop use where you have more clearance BUT it will depend on m.2 slot placement and any cards or heat sinks that might be also in the way.

Great drive, if you have PCI-Express 4.0,
I've had it since Ryzen 3900x launch.
Price is better than last few months, but I paid the same 2 summers ago after MicroCenter combo discounts.

If you are not after the looks, for $40 more, Rocket 4.0 Plus offers much better performance with new Phison E18 controller (vs E-16 of the Aorus).

Seems overpriced to me, maybe it's what it goes for in today's market but I still think it's pretty high.
Still don't think it should be nearly double for 2tb SSD vs 1tb SSD, I've read the justification but I think it's partially BS.

Unless it's a heat sink than it's about $160 because there's no way that ssd alone is more than $200.

Gen 4 NVMe SSDs are more expensive than their Gen 3 counterparts by a significant margin. For a 2 TB stick, this falls within the lower end of the price spectrum for Gen 4 storage. See: Samsung 980 Pro

That being said, NVMe Gen 4 vs. Gen 3 will not make a noticeable speed difference in well...anything for about 99.99% of users. If you're doing a lot of I/O intensive work, then maybe you shave a few seconds or minutes off depending on your workload, but even then you need a compatible MoBo. 11th Gen Intel hasn't hit the market yet so unless you have the latest AMD chipset, this drive won't even be fully compatible.

Or if it's a 3 bay commercial sink used in restaurants. Then you hit the jackpot!
