I'm on my third DR02D after the first two croaked. Third only half-works (the capacitor is shot). Each one has lasted less than a year of use.

Pros: They have a decent warranty and sent me a new one after I provided the order number of my original Amazon order.

Cons: Someone emailed me and insisted I take down my negative review on Amazon describing my issues with it.

Would never buy another Aukey cam. But I'll keep taking the free replacements until the warranty ends I guess.
yes i absolutely trust reviews with referral links. in for a million.
Even though these are a bit old now, I m looking for two separate and small or relatively inconspicuous dash cams for the front and back. I decided against dual band- single system. In part because I can easily plug in a rear cam in the trunk area and am not worried about the two being synced. Anyone have an opinion on whether two of these would be a good combo for that, or anyone have another suggestion? The rear cam probably doesn't need to be as good as the front.

It seems there's a newer model for this, would you recommend that over this?

We've only reviewed the DR02 and the DRS2 Dual Dash Cam. https://youtu.be/g-p2vmrq7ss

Other than that we haven't reviewed any other dash cams. I will say both AUKEY cams have have worked really well for me. I've had the DRS2 installed since filming last spring and it still works without problems. Hope that helps a tad at least.

We reviewed the DRS2 dual dash cam and it's $150+. At that price you can buy 3 of these. I had this cam in my car for two years though and it never had any issue.

Can confirm. Have had this for 1.5 years...through freezing temps and very hot summer...no issues and the quality of picture is fantastic.

The rear may need a wider angle than the front.
If the rear window is tinted, it may not work as well.
How do you power it? do you have access to an accessory socket that is on when engine is running?
For rear, license frame mount may be better.

i can confirm it works well.
The optional gps antenna also works well though its cable is way too long.
If i remember right it has some wifi features but i have never used them.

Aye. Socket back there. License plate mount sounds interesting but its seems folks almost always seem to run a window mounted cam for the back too? ideally something newer and with better res for the front tho. 1080p isn't the greatest. that would be a downgrade compared to the 2k Vava in my other car.

Are there any that don't have a screen? I only want a tiny camera that lets me review footage on my phone or on a PC.
