would much prefer the 17" for just a little bit more money and less than .5lb increase - when on sale (admittedly that's not a 2-in-1/touch)

It is "last years model" do to speak but there is a lot to love here nonetheless . If you need to buy a laptop now and are a Costco member then it's probably a pretty good deal. Otherwise if you can wait there were a lot of new models introduced at the virtual CES that I think are due out in March. Once those hit the shelves there may be even deeper cuts to these .

Yes plus spend $1200 and you can get one with a 3070 graphics card

early 10th generation with intel uhd graphics. still if it were 15.6, I would consider it. you would be paying a premium for the weight of the laptop. however, the weight difference become more meaningful, and worth paying for a larger screen laptop.
