For the miter cuts that really matter, unless the piece is too big, I either use a fixed 10" or a table saw with Incra miter gauge.

I agree I'm not sure what you could possibly be cross cutting and need worm drive power for. I have the skil saw table saw and love it for the worm drive. I just don't see the added benefit to worm drive for this..

Curly maple, purpleheart, all the especially hardwoods or the ones that are prone to blowing out at the end, this helps with that. I have an amazing Bosch with crazy cross cut length that I don't need to pull out my table saw for putting together a cutting board. This won't see much of the rough wood processing, that's what the other 4 tools are for
Can you expand on how this helps with blowout?
Power to cut through without losing rpm, of course you could also use a strip of painters tape if you want for peace of mind
Would moving more slowly through the wood be able to compensate for lack of saw powe
To a degree, yes, but then you risk burning. Painters tape is the better route for blowout prevention.
