It is the best hybrid smart watch I have had. I also like the Garmin app for tracking my steps and other things. However, a few like flights of stairs walked, are inaccurate.

The always-on transreflective(?) LCD was a must for me, and it's superbly readable in bright sun.
The lack of music storage is no big deal to me since I usually have my phone with me, but that might be a deal breaker for you intense workout minimalists.

I like it. It records activities well, android and desktop apps on windows work too. I turn off the Bluetooth feature and just syn data twice a day, so the battery lasts for longer than a week this way.

I'm not sure if I've just been unlucky, but I've had shit luck with Fitbit, Garmin, and Samsung. We're currently with Garmin but not having any better luck.
Between my wife and I:
3 Fitbits died between 12-24 months.
2 Garmins currently: - Mine is an Instinct which stopped holding a charge after 6 months, got a refurb for price of shipping. The refurb is at 8 months now, still working fine. Wife has a Vivoactive 3, it just hit 12 months and was 4 days out of warranty when we were going to contact Garmin. It fails on her runs about 20% of the time, and dies in 1 day now.
2 Samsung Gearfit 2's. One died in about 12 months, the other still sort of works to this day, but is nearly impossible to turn on sometimes.
It seems like all of these things are borderline disposable. No idea if the high end models last longer.
