Great watch. I wear it everyday when i grabbed this for $70 off of GPS Nation. Has almost all the basic functions you could ever ask for. Only thing left wanting is music storage, but certainly not a deal breaker.

I have had the Vivoactive 3 Music for several years. I like the watch very much, but I love the Music feature. I am able to load music, podcasts and audiobooks on the watch very easily from my PC and don't have to carry my phone with me when I am walking in a nearby park.

It is the best hybrid smart watch I have had. I also like the Garmin app for tracking my steps and other things. However, a few like flights of stairs walked, are inaccurate.

My Apple Watch disagrees with your definition of bad battery life..

I had this watch. Initially it worked fine but after some time I've had issues with the GPS and also connecting to my smartphone and sync data back.

It's a good watch but you may want to pay a little extra for music (I have it) it's kind of a must have nowadays.

I have the original square Vivoactive that has been going strong for several years now. Still get more than a week out of a charge. I love it, and I can't see how people can wear a watch they have to charge daily.

It doesn't use you'r phone's GPS. It has it's own built in.

Is this better than Garmin Forerunner 35? I have one and bought it for $40. I can afford to get this but not sure if it worth the jump. From what I know, The 35's is just a minimalistic smartwatch. if this mean anything, I am on Pixel 4a. no iOS. Decision, decision, decision...

100% don't see why anybody would want to use a running watch without music. I never carry my phone during runs cause it's heavy.

This is a great watch. Mine is a year old now and still going strong. I think it's been on the market for 2 years now and price dropped a lot when last year's version was released, but the newer version doesn't have a lot more features. Battery life is tremendously better than the Apple watch. The apps are mostly fitness-oriented so it is best for people who like to track their exercise. You do get caller-ID and notification display as well.

I get barely more than three days per charge. My Vivoactive HR+ got over a week doing the same tasks.

edited: was thinking of a different watch.

my $0.02 - get the vivoactive 4 instead. it has 2 actual buttons, one of them is for start/stop and the other is for the menu/back (instead of having to use the toughscreen for everything). plus it has music built in. The 4 is worth the upgrade.

I have had similar results with the vivoactive 4 vs the Vivoactiv HR. Going on daily runs, my 4 lasts about 4 days before needing a recharge, vs the HR which would easily last a week.

I had an alert for a garmin watch and got this for under $70 with Amazon credits. I Can't afford an apple watch and am so fed up with the quality of fitbits.

edited to add: repped.
How do you set up alerts on Amazon? Tried last night but couldn't find where you turn it on.
