Based on the warranty indicated as two years it would appear to be new. Refurbs are 6 months. Sold by Dyson via Newegg.

Just had it shipped to a friends house in NH. Wouldn't let me ship to Massachusetts which was odd.

Do yourself a favor to buy the refurbished LG A9 Plus with two batteries and stand. You will be much happier. I am a long time Dyson user. After using the LG, I am selling my Dyson V10 Absolute now.

I'm guessing that maybe the "allergy" term doesn't agree with certain state laws of what is considered effective, I dunno.

I considered it. But this was $100 cheaper and new vs refurb. I guess if you plan to vacuum your whole house go with something better like the LG. I use a V6 currently and the fluffy head just stopped spinning. After 3 years of heavy use following toddlers mess in the kitchen, I'm fine upgrading. Still debating getting the LG but on the fence if it's worth it and how difficult getting replacement parts will be.

Yeah, I've heard horror stories about Dyson after a short time. Currently own the non-HEPA version of this and the battery life is atrocious. A lot of recommendations for the Shark Lift-Away but it's significantly bigger. I'll only be using this for a studio apartment.

LG refurbished looks the same as new with two years warranty. It beats V10 in every aspect not to mention V7. The stand and the extra battery alone worth more that $100.
