Battery lasts about 3 days for me and I wear it over night. Toss it on the charger when I'm showering every couple says and it's good for another couple days. But full to 0 is about 3 days.

I really like mine. Use it for pretty much everything you use one of these for. Notifications, exercising, etc.

Nothing compares to Apple watches but if you prefer android phones, this is a pretty good watch.

This is a fantastic watch if you just want notifications. Very solid connection and looks great and simple. I'm still using the Active 1, and it's easy to throw a protector on it and use it for work. Very durable, not a lot of places where dirt can wreck it.

Not a fan of the apps or Bixby, but I've had trouble with Wear OS watches in the past, so Samsung it is. Wear OS watches are not reliable, in hardware or software.

You could have just bought a new one and sent them back the broken one since they gave you the run around. You could have also used return protect on your credit card or filed a dispute. Many options

I haven't seen either of the new features on my watch, but I think I read that you have to have a Samsung phone in order to get the ECG.
There is a workaround for enabling ECG on non-Samsung Android phones.

there is an app on the galaxy store called g assist. it's supposed to be a google assistant on the watch (unofficial of course)
I actually tried this and it sucks... It doesn't have most of the functionality of the traditional GA

Is this a good entry level smart watch? I basically just want to use it for comprehensive sleep tracking, Bicycling, Walking, and Swimming. I notice it has no GPS, does it just connect to your phone's GPS then?

Why would someone need an extra charging station? Just curious.

Anything in the $30-$50 range that is good? I see a lot of cheap fitness bands out there, such as the Xiaomi Mi Band 5. Then there was that Wyze watch for $20-$25. I don't need to text or make phonecalls on my watch, so the Samsung does way more than I need probably, but $140 is a good price for what it does, it seems.
If sports tracking is your main purpose you should check out Garmin. Vivoactive is their entry model (but still has built in GPS and even supports pool swimming which is rare in others) and Fenix is their top line. On the other hand the regular "smart watch" things are not their strongest.

The only time I'd buy a watch like this is if the price is < $30.

Does anyone have an opinion on this vs the Garmin Vivoactive 3? The main temptation for this over the Garmin is the ECG, but I don't know how useful that is. Thanks in advance.

Is this the LTE version? The LTE version is $130/$150 on Samsung website.

Never Mind: it requires trade-in and other hoops

ECG capabilities is officially supported in the US. BP is not but you can download a modify app to enable it. It's supported almost everywhere else but the US. Something about needing FDA approval first.
Which app for bp? Is.it accurate?

Got this in December for the same price. I don't know how people are getting 3 days, but I'm about to return it. I have a Wear24 watch that's several years old and it lasts just as long (slightly more than 24 hours). I do have the screen always on. I come from being a former Pebble user and I won't settle for a watch that doesn't.

This watch also doesn't do a fast charge. IMHO it's about 1% per minute...

I got a Wyze Watch which has several days of battery life, but they don't ship till April due to a newly discovered manufacturing defect.

I've always tried Garmin which has a great battery life and great activity tracker...but I can't get use to their OS and want a nicer looking screen.

Oxygen Level and EKG are just toys. Many Samsung Phones offer Oxygen Level on the fingerprint reader, BTW.

Better to get from Costco, in case of buyer's remorse. I didn't and still kicking myself for it.

I got my wife one from Samsung.com early November, 40mm. We couldn't get battery to last beyond 1 day, even after all the firmware upgrades. I wore it for 4 days and gave up. But, couldn't return it, as we didn't open it until Christmas eve and Samsung crappy return policy.
