I don't follow Apple pricing that closely. Does that usually mean prices will go lower than this? Or are prices right now the lowest since they're all trying to clear inventory?

I would say this will be the lowest or close to the lowest they will ever be. That's if they continue to sell them after the new pair is out.
It's not clear if they will phase out any AirPod model yet since the product is still fairy new.
The new AirPods will be the 3rd design.
Perhaps this is why a re-design is in order aside from enhanced fidelity and longer battery life? Also, sometimes the charge cuts off at 79% no matter how long I leave it plugged.
For music and using them on zoom calls all day, the battery life can be a problem and I personally prefer music with over ears, I feel like you can't tune out the world as easy with AirPods. I still love them, I just can't use only them.
