These have been my favorite earbuds and I have only used them on Android devices and my apple tv 4k. Most of the features still work on android (phone calls, active noise cancellation, pause/skip) and really recommend them. I assume I have smaller ears cause the WF1000XM3's would hurt my ears after a while but I love these in comparison.

Perhaps this is why a re-design is in order aside from enhanced fidelity and longer battery life? Also, sometimes the charge cuts off at 79% no matter how long I leave it plugged.

Isn't the 2nd Gen AirPod Pro's supposed to be announced soon?
1st Gen came out around Oct/Nov 2019.
Maybe that's why prices for this is dropping.

Yes, it's anticipated that the next gen is going to be announced in April, but there's no guarantee on timing. The price point is also expected to be $250, so this is still a good product for a lower price point. While there's no confirmation on changes, it's expected the design will change a bit to better conform to ear space for better sound, and the stems will supposedly be shorter. Also reworking the way the noise cancellation works, providing better sound when using that feature as well. Allegedly there may be color options as well but I find that hard to believe.

If it's worth the wait and the extra cost then by all means go that route, but if the new features aren't that appealing this is a nice discount, as it probably won't get much cheaper than this, if it does at all.
