Avoid any ASUS early production unit. They are gonna have a bunch of software and hardware issues. For example, some of the new G15s have faulty speakers. The BIOS update also kills the iGPU switching function so you only get 2-3 hrs of battery life cuz the dGPU can't sleep properly.

The processor here is way better than the other one

There are lot of models with similar hardware but none are 14" gaming laptops. You're paying for the extra portability and form factor here and this is only 14 inch laptop to offer such powerful hardware in such a small package with weights less than 4 lbs, packs a battery which is bigger than lot of full sized gaming laptops and battery life of nearly 10 hours. Consider example of Razer Blade 13.3" as an example. With a quad core U series cpu and far inferior GTX 1650 Ti, it costs more than this powerhouse.

This is far superior in all aspects. The CPU is over 60% more powerful and the GPU performance will be slightly less. The thing is Intel model, having 4 core cpu, will bottleneck the graphics performance on some CPU heavy titles.

Will anybody recommend this one or do I wait for better offers , is this the new line of gfx cards ?
This is the new line of Graphics card. Now, regarding price, I don't think it will come down anytime soon because it's a brand new model just launced and the limited availability of Ryzen 5000 series processor and RTX 3000 series graphics due to supply shortage.

There are work arounds and it's documented everywhere on Reddit. However, I don't agree that you need to be tech savvy to get around the work arounds and it should be good right off the box.

I bought the g14 for under 1k during the holiday but ended up returning due to fan rattle (others online had same problem & couldn't fix). I hope asus solved/improved qc. Bb website doesn't list if this is 100% dci-p3. And I assume it has adaptive sync. I feel like the 15.6" g15 is the better option. Should be similar portability with better cooling (big heat pipes this time) without sacrificing battery. 14" screen real estate is also too small for long productivity on the go. $300 more for 1440p & 80-100w 3070 max-q too. However, I can't stomach that 1.8k price tag. There seems to be a lot of 3000 series laptops but price might rise. Personally not in a hurry so I will wait for holiday sales like previous g14 when global supply catches up. Also want to see how legion & max lines are in terms of battery life (I don't mind a lesser ryzen 5000 cpu). Can someone explain if max-p decreases battery life even with optimus that switches from dgpu to igpu?

You mean that it's disabling Optimus for graphics switching? Any source where we can check that for getting an idea?

We'll have to see if supply will be an issue for the laptop market. I think AMD went all in on the console and laptop market, so it should be a bit more safe than the desktop market right now. Desktop CPUs got the short end but availability should be improving on those little by little (I want one).
