I'll admit setting up wifi can be a pain, but all 4 of mine (All bought used on Ebay) work perfectly after owning for 2 years

I think most gas/electric companies give a free one after rebates

I got one for $10 from my electric company.

Wifi setup was really annoying. That said, once it was done it's been a breeze using the app to adjust temps. Installation was a cinch too.

NO WiFI!!!

But if WiFi, which can be problematic, is not an issue, this is fine. And no "C" Wire required. This takes (2) AAA batteries. Older models (which I still have) use AA.

I notice Amazon has what appears to be a slightly newer model for only $23.00. So, I guess this is refurbished Slickdeal at about 50% off? You decide. Manual attached.

Hrmm. Wondering how I might wire this to a ventless unpowered natural gas fireplace. I wouldn't mind it kicking in for a while when the basement drops below about 60F. Shouldn't be too much trouble.
