I'll admit setting up wifi can be a pain, but all 4 of mine (All bought used on Ebay) work perfectly after owning for 2 years

I think most gas/electric companies give a free one after rebates

I got one for $10 from my electric company.

Wifi setup was really annoying. That said, once it was done it's been a breeze using the app to adjust temps. Installation was a cinch too.

NO WiFI!!!

But if WiFi, which can be problematic, is not an issue, this is fine. And no "C" Wire required. This takes (2) AAA batteries. Older models (which I still have) use AA.

I notice Amazon has what appears to be a slightly newer model for only $23.00. So, I guess this is refurbished Slickdeal at about 50% off? You decide. Manual attached.

Wifi means never having the wife hear your footsteps in the hall and say "don't you fking touch that thermostat!" ever again.

High tech passive aggression!

Hrmm. Wondering how I might wire this to a ventless unpowered natural gas fireplace. I wouldn't mind it kicking in for a while when the basement drops below about 60F. Shouldn't be too much trouble.

Really strange, shows up on Honeywell site as a T5 model that has WiFi, completely different pic, but same model #

FWIW, I just replaced a Honeywell thermostat at a customers house that failed to turn the fan on. Surprised that a big name thermostat failed. Please note this does not seem to list heat pumps as an option, unless I missed it. Peace

If you look at the back of the second picture, it has a completely different model # RTH2300B1038. This matches what is in the picture. https://www.amazon.com/Honeywell-...B00CTSY6G0 $23 regular price.
Woot really screwed up on this one with either the model # or the picture, who knows what folks will get. I doubt it will be the $150 T5 model. Peace
