if you don't carry the actual plate, a simpler chest rig is the way to go.

5.11 is top notch as far as quality goes. I would buy this but my ar500 vest have worked fine for me. This is for people who want top quality or don't have to spend their own money (aka police, ems etc..)

To be clear, if you want this for a WOD, Rogue is fine for cheap weights. Don't buy rogue if you want ballistic protection. I get that this carrier can be used for workouts, but it is designed for armor. Should work well for either setup.
