I had the cordless version. It will absolutely spray some unthinned paint, just depends on how thick it is. I was able to spray some straight out of the can but sometimes had to thin. It is also a huge PITA to clean and the cup is too small. I sprayed some patio furniture with an oil based paint that was too thick, I also had to fill the thing up a bajillion times. I buy the cheap ones for spraying stain on fences and gates, but if you are painting anything bigger than a single chair or small table buy a regular sprayer. More ergonomic since you aren't holding all the paint at the of your arm and MUCH easier to clean. This deal has been posted here several times, I bought one from here and it looked brand new. Yes, its a bit more, but also much more powerful and will spray all paint unthinned.

I recently got the below cheapo sprayer from Amazon [amazon.com] to paint some cabinets and was pleasantly impressed with the outcome. The finish came out pretty neat closer to the professional finish with some minor imperfections(mostly user errors). Below are some of the things I observed and found myself beneficial after using this product:

Make sure you use a better quality paint that is self leveling especially the ones that are intended for trim & cabinets. These paints are not thicker and flow better as they are self leveling. I have used Valspar Cabinet and Trim [lowes.com]
Try with different nozzles to see which ones spray better as different paints perform differently based on the nozzle size. Thicker paints do well with wider opening nozzles and thinner paints do better with narrow ones.
Clean...clean...clean. Make sure you clean up the nozzles right away after you are done. I had made sure to clean-up the nozzles right away even if I am taking a break from painting for 10 mins to ensure the paint does not dry up on me. Most of these sprayers come with a lid to cover the paint reservoir while you are not using.
Follow the sprayer guidelines and ensure the paint is not super thick as that seems to be the most common issue with these sprayers.

Look at the Wagner Motocoat sprayer. Will spray latex, oil based enamel and even bed liner. It was made to spray plasti dip but it's very versatile. $150-190

I have had very good luck with this one.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1 [amazon.com]

Even spraying very thick Sherman Williams Everlast Severe weather paint, it does great. At least 50 hours of usage with no issues. I just clean it up nice.
I got this one as well. It was great for my first use on some end tables!

Thanks for the reply - what does "I had trouble not ending up with splotches everywhere." mean ? Did it leak on the floor or it sprayed out big drops and you get uneven paint ?
On the cheap linked painter from Rexbeti, it is what atxlonghorn said.
You'll hear it sputter / spit out the paint. So instead of a very thin light coat, you'll get a very thin light coat, but with random big spots of thicker paint that ruin the paint job, unless you sand between coats. At which point, the spray gun doesn't save you any time. You'll be sanding or backbrushing or something after the spray to make sure the paint is even, and doesn't pool or have big spots in places.

I couldn't get the Normal household latex paint for walls thin enough not to have this problem, but I was able to get the cabinet / furniture paint to the right thinness to have it go on even. It would go on thin enough, that with 3 or 4 coats you'd have a great finish. For furniture that was fine / expected.

If I had to paint a wall in 3-4 coats to not have a poor result, I'd get out a roller, the paint gun is no longer saving you any time.

I can only speak for the Graco, it works great for outdoor projects. Painted our house, shed, and doors. Works great .

Indoors, it gets a lot of overspray . Painted a bed room in no time but it required a lot of masking and I did pull the carpet.
You really need to invest the fine finish tips to avoid a ton of overspray. Much less overspray that way.

No. Do not attempt to paint your car/truck with this.

I searched the thread for that keyword and didn't see it. So i figured I'd do the pubic a favor and get ahead of that person out who's got that idea wheel going in their head.

I bought an Avanti sprayer from Harbor Freight. It was 99 minus twenty percent coupon. Directions indicate you thin the paint until it flows through a provided funnel at a certain rate. I used thick, expensive paint from Home Depot whose directions say do not thin
So, I used the paint full strength and it worked great. You just have to disassemble and clean it if you quit using for about 25 minutes and after each use. It is the only sprayer I have used so I have no comparison. It worked great.

Curious how this compares with a cheapo China model like:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PJGGQ9W

Some are saying that the Graco can spray unthinned paint, whereas cheapo China model can't.

Anyone have experience to compare ?
I have used both Rexbeti and Graco DS. It is Graco hands down for me. The spray is more even, less thinning . I liked my experience overall.

Just FYI, you can only use the two tips that come with this gun the pro series sprayers allow you to use regular Graco spray tips. so you will be limited on what you can spray

Where can you find the project painter plus for $133? Only see it at $260.

You purchased the reconditioned - no issues with it? Always pretty wary of something like this where finish of the paint is key for jobs.
