I have this PC for my backup home desktop which doubles as a Plex server and a PC that runs the home printer etc. I bought this after thinking a lot and literally when I was half way thru building my own ITX server based on some Intel or AMD. Given the crazy chip (CPU, RAM, GPU) prices right now, I think you will be hard pressed to find a good CPU benchmarks value. I care about that a lot. Not a gamer here. I did put an old 1080 in it and didn't need to change power supply so there's that. The CPU is very capable and the PC runs cool and quiet. It has only one Sata port that is used for DVD but can be rerouted to take some 2.5 inch drive. I just used a larger nvme and find that this PC is doing very well. Again, mainly for CPU intensive tasks, multi processor tasks etc this thing is a beast.

more than double the CPU performance with dedicate graphic card but less than double the price, seems pretty good deal if it's in your price range.

There have been several deals posted in the last month for xps 8940. The configurations that cost $590-$600 are a great deal at a comparable price to this. Not live right this moment but pop up every week or two.

I wish I would of saved up for something like this instead I bought Dell 7010$(119 shipped) and slapped 16GB DDR3( spare ram) and an 8GB 5500 XTl ($250). It can handle a lot of 2010-2016 game at max settings but not the newer ones. If I bought this I woulda been able to max out on more settings I think this is a fair deal

Thanks, good to know. similar deals popped a few times since 11/29/20.

looks like to get the absolute (or in reality, relative) best deal at the time requires checking and back checking deals on slickdeals for a few months.

It looks like the processor in the Dell is about 60% as fast as this one but the graphics card is about eight times faster. Love the processor in this PC deal But hate the video card.

At least one of their reviews also state that there's cooling issues with the HP PC. That could be a real problem if you add a higher end video card to the system.

One M.2 socket 3, key M for SSD (PCIe x2) NvME only supports x2, I wish it was x4.

Not this one - the motherboard is custom made for the case, with the front panel ports directly on the board. So expansion is limited if you need a better gpu, only really possible in terms of ram and disk. Or if you're a casual gamer or like me want something powerful for doing projects, this thing is amazing (and a great deal) as-is.
