Or rather, how can it tell if a laptop today has those? I think Zephyrus and Y540 do, but even those I'm not sure that all various configs do.
It can be tamed with liquid metal, but not nearly as well as before, especially when summer comes.
The easy answer is buy AMD 5 series instead, they 're epic power efficient and have way better battery life and significantly higher peak performance.

That said, I agree, it's cheesy and there's no getting around it :p to be fair though, they have cleaned up the newer models a lot. I don't even think all of the models with this styling were the exact same either because this one appears to not have the underglow
