One thing I noticed on the fine print was that the oil sold in packs do not qualify for the rebate.

Thanks for the warning.

Similarly, my son told me that the COVID vaccine has a microchip in it so the government will be able to track us and control our brains even more than they already do. Not going to do that one either. Whew.​

It says one card of $22. But one 5QT in Walmart is $24.99. The form says 2 5QT but card only one.

I like the Pennzoil Platinum 5w30 it carries the Jeep ms-13340 that my engine spec's

M1 website says "we dont make oil for your application"

Kirkland or Walmart brand are fine IMO but not quite to the level of Pennzoil or M1 for demanding applications such as Turbo GDI engines.

$18.67 per 5qt 10w30 doing s&s. $37.34 minus 5% for using the Amazon store card comes to ~$35.50-$22=~$13.50, that's worth it to me. That's what I use in my generator so I'll keep a stockpile

Careful with this purchase. Saw this deal a while back with the same rebate, bought and turned in my rebate form, ensuring that everything was exactly as instructed, knowing that rebates can be very finicky. Then alas, they told me the rebate didn't qualify for some reason.

I personally returned it, but I'm sure people at this point would say "Eh screw it, I already have it, might as well bite the purchase".

Not only that, the same 5 qts that was $14.xx on Amazon in Feb. 2020 is $22 now.

Last year, we MADE money on these rebate deals: Spend $14 OOP and get $22 in Shell gas and 5 qts of full synth. Rebates cards came about 2 months after submission.

Shell gift cards are partly worthless in Iowa. Shell gas is $2+ more a gallon than other gas stations. And there are very few around anymore.
