This is probably your bast bet as a pen for productivity- sp7 has a magnetic left side for easy "storage" and uses all buttons and back as eraser. P.s. this is the pen that comes in the SP7 keyboard+pen bundle.
I bought this 2 weeks ago (at this price). The pen is good and works with my school-issued Surface Go, however OneNote is sometimes really glitchy as it sometimes keeps bringing up the on screen keyboard. Best Feature is the flip to erase, which is incredibly convenient. I used my $50 Invoke credit to cover for most of it, which was nice since I didn't know what to buy with that credit.
Figure this out? I have a pro 3 also and would like to know if it works
From the Microsoft page:
Compatible with the following devices: Surface Book, Surface Book 2,1,5 Surface Book 3, Surface Studio 1st Gen,5 Surface Studio 2,5 Surface Laptop 1st Gen,1 Surface Laptop 2,1 Surface Laptop 3,1 Surface Go,1,5 Surface Go 2, Surface Pro 3,1 Surface Pro 4,1 Surface Pro 5th Gen,1,5 Surface Pro 6,1,5 Surface Pro 7,1 Surface Pro X,1 Surface 3,1 and Pen Tip Kit.1
are the blue and red different from the charcoal and platinum? They look different, but maybe that's just the other side of the pen? All of these have to be newer/better than the surface pro 3 pen I lost

Just go into settings and disable auto keyboard pop-up. You'll then need to manually click the keyboard icon near the clock.

This guide will let you know which pen model works with which Surface.
If you get sick of the AAAA battery replacements the surface pens need,

The even cheaper rechargeable Ciscle pen eliminates the costly batteries and works great with my SP4.
