You go to 1 Star reviews and say it's a pos based on 14, 1 star reviews outta 1400 reviews.

Did you go to my link? There are SIX reviews of the 4TB, all of which say it has major overheating problems. Applause

My 02 cents - I own the 4tb - this exact drive and it's been flawless for past 90 days as a scratch disc for video editing.

Red, Panasonic, RAW and ProRes

The complaints about cooling "might" be valid and I knew that going in. Remove the provided cooler and do one of two things - or both.

Reapply it with better thermal paste. Or purchase one of the many available all copper heat sinks.

I did both of those and have had no issues and no throttling.

Cheers 🥂

Thanks good tip. Was there any problem removing the cooler?
