These dumbbell sets were $150 on clearance a year ago.
What a difference 1 yr makes!

Thanks, OP.
I cannot justify $300 for this set.

I say $1/lb max.
Supplies will get better...just have to wait it out if you can.

Uh oh! Looks like we got a buff guy over here... /s

Think I got the set that has two horizontal racks for $250 a year or so ago. I prefer that to Christmas tree racks.

At this price, you might as well splurge for the BowFlex adjustable pair. Four month wait, though.

I have the Bowflex and bought this for BeachBody On Demand videos. Though I love my Bowflex for arms and chest, many of the BOD movements aren't conducive to the physical size of the Bowflex dumbells... and many use isometrics and time-to-failure where you don't need a lot of weight. In The Work, they do a lot of floor exercises where you're doing pushups or planks on the weights--these hex are perfect for that, where the Bowflex isn't as steady.

I have Bowflex 552 and the "it is a nice product...
The space-saving of Bowflex is a nice feature and looks cool... After a year of use,I encountered few issues that made me switch:

1. The ball-bearing in one of the handles is loose and unable to lock on the settings. Call Bowflex and they want me to buy a new handle unit ($65)
2. for many exercises I need a much lighter weight, the handle is bulky and not easy to utilize.
3. Not stable enough for doing pushups or planks on the weights
4. Moving parts = things to fix...
5. Don't have to worry weight plates fall off the unit during exercise (happened multiple times)
6. If you accidentally drop the weights, the plates offer no cushion / protection & may damage your wood/tile flooring

given the high demand for Bwsflex, I actually will make money selling my used unit :-)

It's 5 months in now since this comment and i don't believe the price has dropped. My wife and I aren't avid strength training folk but i think going up to 30lbs will be suitable for our exercises for now. Do you think it's really going to come down that much more anytime soon? I've been holding out but I feel like $150-$200 isn't realistic at this point at least not for another year. Would love to hear other perspectives though.

I believe the $150 mentioned is from a 2019 deal here ( correct me if im wrong) https://slickdeals.net/share/iphone_app/t/12872911

Which is not of similar quality.

I just purchased this set at $299 today. And dont think ill expect prices for gym equipment to come town for at least another year.

Thanks for sharing, looks like the pictures they show are a completely different product. Not rubberized but still notably cheaper if that's something you don't mind. I ended up picking up a set as well.
