2. After you activate your service, you can track your progress by logging into your account then go to Fi Saving (you will see something similar to the screenshot I attached). You shouldn't put the Google Fi sim into another phones until you received all the check marks or else they may invalidate you from the promotion (i.e. charge your credit card the full price, not giving you the $279 credit, etc). Basically, you will be stuck with the Moto One 5G Ace at least for the first month. If you want to use your iPhone 12, a solution is to carry both phone and use the Moto phone as a hotspot.
3. Remember the promo price is only for the first 3 months AND Google Fi charges additional for tax/regulatory fee (~$5 for my state on $20 no data plan). Assuming you are getting 1 line, it will be $279 + $35+fee for first month, then you should get the $279 credit before they charge you for 2nd month (Google Fi billing occurs in the middle of your service cycle). That will give you a total of around 5 months + 10 days of services if you take the tax/regulatory fee into consideration.
This would satisfy one of the two months needed to qualify for the discount.
Will google invalidate the phone discounts and referrals if the info is the same?
The reason I want to do it this way is because I would get 4 referral credits by referring my family members. If I added them to a group plan to my account I would not get the referrals.
What if I transfer my google voice to google fi? Is that qualified?

If this is genuinely only a service credit, not a refund to your credit card (as was an option for the Pixel 4a 5g promo - which was months ago, and not available anymore), then I'd say this deal is far more lukewarm than people think.

Not to pee on your deal OP, looks great if Fi works for you. I've had a problem with runaway data when I've used them multiple times.

I've heard, you just "leave it in a drawer/drawer method" for six months, you're good to go. So, after first month that you paid for in-store, you just stop paying and don't use it, well, other than for Wi-Fi. Does that sound accurate?
You so like your 2020 Power better? Why if I may ask, just the dual speakers?
