Product Overview
Longer tool life: wear resistant and anti-corrosion blade change
Includes (1) SAWZALL and (1) deep cut bandsaw
Fully compatible with the M18 system, featuring over 200+ tools
I second this question. Looks like it would make the sawzall $50 if it's possible to return the bandsaw
I think the Sawzall would be about $130?
Sawzall [$199] + Band Saw [$379] = Total Regular Price [$578]
Sawzall [$199] / Total Regular Price [$578] = Ratio of Sawzall Cost [.344...]
Ratio of Sawzall Cost [.344...] * Deal Price [$379] = Net cost of Sawzall [$130.49]
Clearly not. How about some education instead of ridicule? I was not thinking about them being prorated as I have not done these "hacks" previously
take something like the Buy More Save More event, that allows you to see the pricing breakdown in your cart online, as you make your own bundles to get to the pricing tiers...
so these two items in that promo would be
379$ (band saw) + 199$ (recip saw)
578$ - 150$ (promo over 500)
428$ total
return value of each, directly from the receipt
band saw 280.64$
recip saw 147.36$
so, if we do the math...
199$ (recip saw) / 578$ (original total) -> 34.42% of the total
150$ (promo value) * 34.42% -> 51.64$ (off the recip)
199$ (recip saw) - 51.64$ -> 147.36$ (recip saw final cost)
same applies for this deal, you can do the math there to get the cost of each...
now, if this deal is instore as well and you can return the band saw... who knows. i doubt it thought, as it would directly overlap with the promo i used for the math above.
i bet people are kicking themselves now for being the "WHEN AM I EVER GOING TO USE THIS CRAP!?!?!" kid in grade school math class

Makes sense. It's all ratios. I was thinking more about the ability to straight up return the bandsaw for full refund. Didn't realize they prorated based on the deal. But it does make more sense that they would. Appreciate the education.
Can confirm that in-store hack doesn't work. Was able to get it to $359 for the combo at one store, but that was because the band saw was on clearance at that particular location for hundred and something.

Edit: Had the wrong sawzall come up on search. Numbers now make this much slicker

still in no way a hack.
you're just following the return information, clearly printer on the receipt.
